Tim Cook's Apple is Still the Apple We Know and Love

But this week’s event convinced me that Apple remains the world’s most influential tech company — even as we approach next month's fourth anniversary of the tragically early death of its genius leader, Steve Jobs.

Many people love Apple, others despise it. But, even without Jobs, it cannot be ignored. There simply is no other company which combines such a high-quality hardware line with such well-regarded software platforms.

I'm right there with Walt on this. I always feel like I'm sacrificing something when I venture out of Apple's ecosystem. Apple consistently delivers a complete package while other companies tend to excel in one or two categories (and usually none at all).
