What Third Party Complications Might Look Like on Apple Watch

What if third parties could make complications for the Apple Watch? This feature has to be coming soon to Watch OS, and I can’t wait for my favorite apps to get updated.

In the meantime, I made a mockup of what we could expect from some popular third party apps:

Top left - That’s a generic podcast app and simply shows you the remaining time left in the current episode you’re listening to. The only way to see that right now is to go into the podcast app, which takes more time than it should. As of today, you’re also limited to Overcast, which is amazingly still the only podcast app updated for Apple Watch.

Top right - Deliveries is a great package-tracking app. Sometimes there are packages you really want to keep tabs on, and this complication would let you do just that. It’s showing that you have 1 package arriving tomorrow.

Bottom - Dark Sky is so good at letting you know if it’s going to rain. This complication shows the next 60 minutes of precipitation. If the forecast was clear, it would show the temperature and conditions similar to the regular weather complication.
